Anurag Kashyap’s production house does it again, produces one of the finest movie of the year. The movie shows the nasty face of Punjab, Punjab isn’t just about whiskey and bhangra. It’s just the mask to the actual face. Udta Punjab faced outrage on whether to be released or not and after a lot of controversies censor board waved a green flag. There’s must be something big behind the outrage. Watch it yourself.

Neerja was released in the first quarter of 2016 making it the oldest movie among the list. The movie is based on the real incident of the courageous Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while protecting the lives of 359 passengers on the Pan Am flight which was hijacked by terrorists in 1986. Neerja is not just a biopic; it’s a drama with thrilling ride of tension. Perfectly paced and well directed, the movie is a must watch
